Hello, Adam!
Thank you very much for participating in our recital! I also want to thank your teacher Ines for submitting all of your videos.
I could tell that you were a little nervous, because you were playing on stage and on this big Grand Piano! However, I think, you have a lot of things to be proud about.
You developed excellent skills in playing piano. Your fingers became faster. Each of them is independent, but together they work as a good team. If you would tell me that you are one of the best students in your class in school, I won't be surprised. If you playing so many pieces and etudes, where all 10 fingers work equally hard, you exercising your brain big time!
Here is what I noticed so far: you have good sense of pulse and rhythm, you developed the excellent eye-hand and both coordination and now in a stage of developing more advance piano skills: you are now starting listening what you play. I can hear how you now hear music phrasing and playing forte and piano, staccato and legato.
I liked how you handled your mistake when you played Bach 'Musette'. You didn't get lost, but found your way around. It is wonderful that you can keep your concentration in stressful situation. I also can say that you developed good ear for music and it also contributed to your confidence.
I am looking forward to see you at our summer classes and next semesters.
I am going to send you a certificate and little present in a memory of your another great recital!
Sincerely,
Hellene Hiner, Professor of Herzen University (St Petersburg, Russia) - Developer of the Course 'Additional vocational training program and Interactive network technologies'. The author of 'Soft Way to Mozart computer based curriculum for teaching music and piano.
