Maria (age 3) Prep level B

Segment 1 Sept/Oct

As I expected, we had to take quite a bit of time off for this segment. Baby Sister was very late to arrive and the doctor wanted me closer to the hospital so we ended up being away from home until she arrived. Then when we got home with a new baby, it took a while to get back into the swing of things.

Maria and I did faithfully practice with her flashcards. She can easily start on any note and put the cards in the correct order, forwards and backwards.

Some of her scores for Guess Key game were 58 ; 73 ; 64 ; and 74 . I forgot look at the time for them.

Some of her scores for Hot Cross Buns were 13/15 & 33, 10/15 & 31; 14/15 & 28.

She wanted to try Jingle Bells once, 36/55 & 99.

She practiced the 5 finger exercise regularly also. She really enjoys having me try to pick her fingers off the keys and it has helped her push the keys with weight.

I did not get any videos for this segment.

She also still practices 5 finger exercise with both hands, and Hanon 1 with right hand only. We did get videos of her playing GKG, HCB, Hanon, and flashcards. I might need some advice on how to attach them. I have tried several times and just seem to lose the whole post.
