I bought the above connector for my Yamaha keyboard to connect it to my Acer laptop. It has a USB flat end port to fit the laptop but it does not seem to be interacting with the images on screen. Can someone tell me what I need to do to solve this problem? Should I order a different type of connector? Should it be the type with the little metal prongs on it? Any help greatly appreciated!

First, please, find out if computer recognizes your piano by going to START menu - ALL PROGRAMS - SOFT MOZART IND - TOOLS - TUNING - MIDI Play back.
Please, check, if you have Yamaha listed in the drop down box
Choose that option and click save.

Otherwise most likely you need a driver for you computer OS. You need to go to Yamaha site and download a driver from them.

Oh, I didn't look at the picture first. You have IN and OUT MIDI connector.
Please, switch them and look what is going to happen!
