Hello all. What a useful thread!!

I have managed to connect my yamaha keyboard via a fairly basic midi cable. I had to attach OUT to IN (and vice versatile) on the cables.
I have been able to get guess key game working and gentle piano.

But when I play gentle piano, only the notes that I play myself on the keyboard actually come out of the keyboard speakers. So if I am just playing right hand, then left hand sound comes out of the computer so it is much quieter. I tried turning the computer volume to mute but then there was no sound at all for the other hand.

Anyone have any ideas?!

Dear lzp11,
Did you go to Tunning? (ALL PROGRAMS - Soft Mozart - Tools - Tuning)
There is 2 options to switch the playback sound from computer to piano.

I have found and ordered the EMU XMIDI 1X1 USB MIDI Interface that is cheaper than yamaha one and has great reviews. I have not connected my keyboard yet, so I can't tell from my own experience.
I ordered it through amazon.com
