Mentronome - how to use it?

Hope it's the best place to ask:
How do we use the metronome on our keyboard or the stand-alone metronome ?

In a message to Lee (lzp11) Hellene advised her to play the finger exercises with the metronome.
And for advanced practice on musical pieces she suggests the same thing.

Please, take a look at this video. I use sometimes rythm section for metronome/ It is FUN!

My piano keyboard only has rhythm and I find it hard sometimes to sing according to it. Metronome is clear and a bit easier to use for me
As I use the laptop usually in one room, and piano is in another where I curently don't have internet access, I looked for and found a free metronome software to install and use whenever I want.

It's fun to play according to rhythm or metronome.
It's also VERY different from what I was playing so far.
Watching the teaching videos with the songs I see big differences from the way I've practicing alone and the beautiful way it can be played and sounds like.
It's great we have something to watch and practice polishing the pieces.
