Thank you that puts into words what I felt this morning when my little girl played hot cross buns for nana. Nana is a piano teacher and rather than praise her efforts (she started playing yesterday, and it was clearly hot cross buns!) nana started to correct her technique! Now a correction is fine but a praise needs to come first! Lucky she wasn't my mum! Anyway I got her out of the room fast, encouraged my girl and quickly decided nana wouldn't get another performance for a long while. What a shame. Thankfully my damage control was effective and the kids have all been in and out of the piano room all day, in between playing with their new toys. Phew!!!! Indeed it is a merry Christmas and I have heard jingle bells and hot cross buns all day long

It is all about good vibe and happiness

There is nothing nicer than a child being happy and playing silly piano songs with joy and pasion, and there is nothing worse than a stressed child that plays difficult songs like he is in front of a death platoon.

The happy kid will eventually learn difficult tunes, ant they will be better at piano.
The happy kid will later take all the gigs from sad musicians 10 times beter than him
