Transposition is very important part of ear training. Transposing - is moving a tune to another key.
For instance, if you play FRENCH SONG and it starts from DO, you may try to play it from RE.
When you hear some key sounds wrong, you have to change it for the closest black key.
My student Rachel and her mom Pai Lin recorded for you French song drom all the different keys.
Please, watch and try to learn how to do it with Rachel!
OMG you make that sound so easy! I have never even attempted transposing as I always just assumed it was about the most difficult thing to do!
So glad I have Rachel to walk me through it! Will try it out tomorrow. I love that you just throw it all at us and let us have a go. I can feel another brain pain coming on!
Thank you Hellene, Rachel and Pei Lin!
I subscribe to what Manda said, Helene. I didn't even think of doing that, although when singing some songs I tend to do that vocally and I thought it was wrong to sing it in another key I thought the key is fixed.
Here's another reason why I believe SM software and method are the best - the possibilities in learning due to Hellene's teaching method.

Andrea, thank you very much for your support!
I think, the Russian school of music with advanced Solfeggio and ear training is the best in the world.
I just happened to add visual and interactive component to it.
