To give more of our talented students and participants the opportunity to shine, we are thrilled to announce that the Butterfly Ball - 2025 recital has been extended until February 1, 2025!
Ariana has finally decided to participate in Soft Mozart Academy full time! She is working hard, practicing 4 to 5 days a week since we started in the middle of October, a little over a month now. Seems she warmed up to the program after watching her sisters learning with SM and participating in May's Recital. I am taking notes of her progress every time we sit down for practice. Here is her progress thus far:

Asking a child to pick a card (Flash cards Level 1 pages 1-2 with only pictures of notes)
Music appreciation
We are listening to "Surprise Symphony", "Slumber Song", and Nutcracker's "March" as often as we can, and I play them for her because it seems to me these would be too hard for her. But recently she began asking to try them herself. She only practiced these a couple of times so far, but it makes her so happy when she plays(separate hands) and makes no mistakes or only a couple, she runs off to brag about her success to her sisters.

Ariana made great progress in her attention span and ability to focus development.
She passed 'finger awareness' stage and now building her 2 hands coordination.
Her voice is very clear and beautiful and she sings in tune. Potentially she may become a very good singer.
I am collecting butterflies for her Winter Recital!
Ear Training
Every time Ariana practices ‘Guess Key Game’ she sings the note names.
Here is the best score she made so far:
We listened to 1st track(and all others) of ‘Note Alphabet Song – Chant' regularly
Piano
Ariana keeps practicing '5 fingers exercise' almost daily
She learned to do "stretch" exercise for Hanon #1 but still gets confused and does a stretch on the way up the keys between thumb and index fingers and sometimes when she has to return back down the keys between pinky and a ring finger. We are going to post a video of this exercise a little later.
She continues to practice all the piano pieces she has learned so far including "Hot Cross Buns" along with singing the note names.
